What does non-exclusive publishing
mean? Please look over all the information provided in regards to submitting your early 1900's to 1972 classic car/truck photos and information to Eastman Publishing. Your vehicle's photos and information are important to us, and we will do our best to help you enter them into the Car Show CDbook. Please review all photo, vehicle's condition and description information below before filling out the Non-Exclusive Publication Permission Form.
Please note, the example photos below show the license plate numbers blocked out, as we will not enter them within the Car Show CDbook unless you absolutely would like us to.
We prefer to have two photos submitted of a vehicle, which one photo shows the front and side view, and the other the back and side. The photo above (showing the back view) was taken so that the rumble seat is shown, otherwise, it would have been captured more from the back angle. Please try to capture as much detail of the vehicle as possible. Helpful Photographer's Guidelines We prefer color 35mm glossy photos that are 4 x 6 inches in size. This is the preferred format. Prints are acceptable only if they are clear and sharp. Digital photos are also acceptable (please email us for more details before sending us digital photos). We are looking for the ability to edit the photos to our standards, if need be. Absolutely no instant-print Polaroid-type or matte-finish are acceptable. Send vehicle photos and information to: Eastman Publishing We will not accept photos of a vehicle with the hood or trunk lid up. The photo above is accepted because of the rumble seat. Helpful Photo Hints
Please be sure to provide the photographer's name within the Non-Exclusive Publication Permission Form so that he/she can receive credit for their work under the photos.
You may read an internationally accepted "1" to "6" vehicle condition scale at LemonBusters to determine whether or not you should continue and even submit your car/truck for review. Please click on the LemonBusters link above and return for further information, or continue on if you already know what your vehicle's condition is on the scale. We try to be as fair as possible for acceptance of your vehicle to be published within the Car Show CDbook. Our standards of acceptance for publishing your vehicle within the Car Show CDbook will have to meet certain quality factors, however, we haven't raised the bar so far that vehicles shouldn't be submitted at all. We not only look for the quality of the photos and the condition of the vehicle, but also if you are providing an educational description of such. Don't hesitate to submit even if you feel that your vehicle is just a plain Jane. Add a short story within the description and make your plain Jane come alive! Writing a short story isn't mandatory for acceptance though. If your vehicle falls within the "1" to "3" condition on the scale, you may submit the information and photos to Eastman Publishing for review. We will consider a "4" for review, however, this condition on the scale will require that you must provide an educational type description of what you have done to the vehicle and what you are planning to do with it in the future. If we find that your description will benefit any users of the CDbook with knowledge, it will certainly help us to determine possible acceptance. With your help, we not only want the Car Show CDbook to put on a great show, but educate the individual user about the various 1900's to 1972 cars/trucks. We are sorry if your vehicle falls within the "5" or "6" condition scale, these aren't acceptable for review at all.
We provide an easy Non-Exclusive Publication Permission Form which contains areas for you to submit your vehicle's information. You are given space within the CDbook to explain about your vehicle and other information pertaining to it that you may like to include (you may use up to 500 words, if you desire). Within the description space, you can receive free exposure by mentioning Car Shows and/or Cruise-ins that you attend or Car Club(s) that you belong to. You may also make reference to your business, as long as it pertains to antique/vintage/classic automobiles. Vintage Car Museum Curators or large car collectors should contact us for further information regarding free exposure. We also would like to review a short informative description about your vehicle, so please don't hesitate to write one! We look forward to reviewing your vehicle's photos, description, and other information that is submitted to Eastman Publishing for consideration into the Car Show CDbook! The next step for submittal is to read over and fill out the Non-Exclusive Publication Permission Form, by clicking on the link below. |
